ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

Anatomy and Physiology will be held on a Friday evening and will run for 20 weeks.

This diploma can be taken as a single module, or be taught concurrently with Holistic massage, Indian Head massage or Reflexology.

Curriculum
Skeletal System, Muscular System, The Skin, The Cell, Circulatory and Lymphatic Systems, Neurological Systems, Endocrine System, Respiratory System, Digestive System, Urinary System, Reproductive System, plus six weeks of revision.

Course 2 - Commences October 2008

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology will be held on a Thursday evening and will run for approximately 5 months.

Reflexology is the study and application of techniques of the ancient art of foot massage. In the feet are mirrored the organs of the body, and reflexology is a way of stimulating the body’s healing forces through foot massage. It works to relax and balance the entire body.

This can be taken as a single module if the student already holds an ITEC diploma for Anatomy & Physiology.
Cost: €1085. This covers cost of workbook, towels and working polo shirt.

This module can be taught taught concurrently with Anatomy and Physiology:

Course 3 - Commences October 2008

HOLISTIC MASSAGE

Holistic massage will be held on a Wednesday evening and will run for 20 weeks.

Massage has been used for thousands of years as a simple and effective method of attaining and maintaining good health. Massage has been incorporated into many health systems and this course may form the core and basis for further learning of various complimentary therapies.

This can be taken as a single module if the student already holds an ITEC diploma for Anatomy & Physiology. Cost: €1,085. This covers cost of workbook, towels and working polo shirt.

Course 4 - Commences October 2008

AROMATHERAPY

Aromatherapy will be held on a Tuesday morning and will run for 20 weeks

To qualify for this course you must already hold a diploma in Holistic Massage

Course fee: €1,085. This covers cost of workbook, towels and working polo shirt. Examination Fee: not yet set

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants for their therapeutic properties. The oils are used for treating medical and non-medical conditions. Plant oils have been used for their health benefits for hundreds of years.

Curriculum
Theory of Aromatherapy
• History of Aromatherapy
• Knowledge of approximately 40 oils
• Main chemical constituents for each oil
• Methods of extraction
• Therapeutic properties of the oils and their effects
• Contra-indications for each oil

Practical Aromatherapy
• Blending the oils
• Aromatherapy massage
• Chemistry

Case studies as per syllabus

Course 5 - Commences October 2008

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports Massage diploma course will be held on Tuesday evening and will run for 28 weeks

To qualify for this course you must already hold a diploma in Holistic Massage

Cost: €1,500. This covers cost of workbook, towels and working polo shirt. Examination Fees: not yet set

Sports Massage

Students are presented with the theory and practice of Sports Massage, from pre-event, post-event and maintenance massage techniques for treating sports injuries and chronic tension.

Course 6 - Commences October 2008

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Indian Head diploma course will be held on Wednesday morning and will run for 17 weeks

This can be taken as a single module if the student already holds an ITEC diploma for Anatomy & Physiology, or could run concurrently with the same. Cost €985. This covers the cost of workbook, towels and working polo shirt

Cost: €2,070. Anatomy & Physiology with Indian Head massage. This covers cost of workbook, towels and working polo shirt. Examination Fees: not yet set

Indian Head massage

This is a gentle therapy; which works on the neck, shoulders, upper arms, head and hair. It provides relief from aches and pains in these areas, and also promotes hair growth. It is renowned for relieving symptoms of stress.

Course 7 - Commences October 2008

STONE THERAPY MASSAGE

Stone Therapy massage

Will be held on a Tuesday evening and will run for 15 weeks

To qualify for this course you must already hold a diploma in Holistic massage.

Course fee: €1,250.00.This covers cost of workbook, towels, linens and working polo shirt. Examination Fees: not yet set.

Additional Cost: €550.00 for your set of Basalt Stones, heater and other utensils (optional) We do advise that you purchase your own set of stones.
